Spring Cleaning 2.0
Published in 4.22.2021
As we approach the end of April and begin to feel the onset of summer and warmer days ahead, now’s the time to revisit your closet.
If you’ve been following us along this month for our Spring Cleaning Series, we’ve been eager to get your closet prepped for Springtime. If you’re just joining us—welcome to your new organized life!
The Spring Cleaning Bug brought the first wave of people to overhaul their winter closet. But if you’re behind, not to worry. Use the end of this month to prep your closet for the beautiful warmer days ahead of us.
Here's How:
Heavy Sweaters are So Last SeasonEarlier this month I talked about leaving some winter clothes in your closet since it wasn’t fully warm yet, but as May approaches this is the time to finally pack away those heavy winter threads.
I would still leave some cardigans and light sweaters for those cool summer nights.
Should it Stay or Should it Go?
Everyone always keeps a Maybe Pile, so if you looked through your closet earlier this month and there were a few pieces you weren’t sure of, now's the time to make your final decision. If you haven’t thought about the pieces lately, try and sell them (put the money towards your summer wardrobe fund), or donate your pieces to someone else in need.
Get in the Habitat
Earlier this month we spoke about the importance of cleaning your closet and ridding it of dust, and old energy. Work on creating a habit to wipe down your closet at the end of every month. It makes a world of a difference in the freshness and energy of your closet!
Whether you were part of the first wave of people who joined us for Spring Cleaning, or you are just starting now, stay the course!
